Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN is hiring a Senior Director of Architecture & Integration in Eagan, MN. The Senior Director of Architecture & Integration leads the modernization strategy of technology within the enterprise application development and architecture organizations. This role drives the componentization of core administrative software ensuring seamless integrations of shared technologies to address business needs. This role reports to the VP of Digital Technology and owns the alignment of the technology roadmap to the business and technical strategy. This role is hybrid based out of Eagan, MN. A Day in the Life: Lead broad and highly visible implementations of organization-wide technology modernization efforts. Prioritize reusability across solutions that align with existing assets within the software product development process. Responsible for the strategic direction of the Shared Service Application Delivery team; delivering multi-tenant solutions that leverage on prem and cloud environments. Drive the composable architectural strategy focused on componentization of functionality. Ensures the Technology and Data Integration aligns with future strategies of the enterprise with Product, Engineering and Business leadership. Champion architectural solutions, with the ability to match the technical aptitude to the audience; advising, guiding and advocating for business outcomes with appropriate risk strategies in enterprise-wide initiatives. Lead key initiatives in support of business objectives to leverage optimization. Leads the implementation of modern architecture and development standards. Drive innovative thinking and non-traditional approaches. Develop standardized metrics to conduct annual analysis, and refinement of optimal utilization, performance, and expense. Achieves positive return on investments of digital products based on fact-based metrics. Cultivates relationships and influences business partners as a strategic advisor. Required Skills & Experiences: Accepting this position at BCBSMN requires signing an Employee Confidentiality, Intellectual Property Assignment, and Restrictive Covenants Agreement as a condition of employment. 10+ years of related IT professional experience (Architecture, Integration, Development, etc), with 3+ years of management experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Experience in full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment. Experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment Experience, leading multi-year technical strategy and leading the team in identifying further strategic areas for development. Experience with FHIR. Experience with the modernization of technology through integration in a componentized environment Experience with cloud-native architectures or compatible architecture patterns Demonstrated proficiency in at least three of the following areas: business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, technical/infrastructure architecture, security disciplines, or operational disciplines. Ability to analyze and synthesize data and deliver relevant information to enable results driven decision-making, and achievement of strategic and operational goals. Exemplary consulting skills and a track record of applying these skills as a practicing architect. A strong balance of business skills, with a high level of intellectual agility. Ability to think strategically, financially, analytically, creatively, and tactically Proven and accomplished leader with experience attracting, building, coaching, and developing a high-performing, cohesive team. Outstanding verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate architectural issues and concepts to multiple organization levels. - Exemplary relationship skills and with a track record of being a trusted advisor. Great time management and a passion for delivering on commitments. Understanding and past experience in development and product life cycle management processes and methodologies including common roles, responsibilities, and key deliverables. - Proven leadership, influence, and mentoring skills.
