Description
Exciting opportunity for a Grant Accountant role with a non-profit organization.
The possibility to work a hybrid schedule may exist in the future once trained. Hours are normal business hours, Monday-Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.
The Grant Accountant would be responsible for the following duties:
Maintain financial procedures and ensure compliance for restricted grants by preparing reports and statements.
Prepare and record monthly journal entries as assigned.
Conduct account reconciliations as assigned.
Review financial reporting requirements for all incoming restricted grants.
Ensure adherence to all donor program requirements.
Document, record, and reconcile financial activities related to grant programs.
Collaborate with the Development team on grant-related activities.
Provide updates on grant spending at monthly grant management meetings.
Assist in designing, documenting, and maintaining internal control processes.
Prepare financial reports for external stakeholders.
Support year-end audit preparation.

Requirements
The ideal candidate would meet all or most of the following requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
2+ years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Excel
Prior non-profit experience is a plus
