TKDA Professional Engineer, Civil - Roadway / Municipal in Duluth, Minnesota

Any travel would be related to site visits or community meetings within the Duluth and northland area. Flexible work arrangement (3 days in office / 2 days WFH) Responsibilities Manage Roadway & Utilities / Municipal projects. Lead projects to improve the infrastructure of MN communities. Optimize planning, design, and construction activities to control costs and mitigate risks. Collaborate with the Civil Group Manager, Market Managers, and the Vice President of Surface Transportation Engineering. Contribute to the development of marketing plans. Cultivate and maintain relations with clients and agency representatives. Track prospective opportunities. Deliver client presentations. Travel for site visits or community meetings within the Duluth and northland area. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota. 5 -10 years of related experience supporting design and inspection for roadways, highways, sidewalks, utilities and/or other municipal projects. Strong working knowledge of the project development process including coordination with other disciplines during design and construction. Experience working with regulatory agencies, and knowledge of the permit application process with FEMA, DOT, DNR, and state / local government entities. Experience and understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D used to develop concept plans, grading plans, and designs. Ability to apply effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills when developing proposals, negotiating project contracts, preparing technical reports, leading project team meetings, and delivering client presentations. Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) reviews for civil projects. Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Professional registration in additional states with a preference of Wisconsin, South Dakota, and Iowa. Experience in utilities coordination related to design, location verification and relocation.
