Job Title: GSE Technician

Job Description

We are seeking four (4) Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technicians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the preventative maintenance of up to 600 pieces of ground support equipment, including tugs, pushbacks, belts, etc. As part of your duties, you will be expected to perform oil changes, brake jobs, and other related tasks. As our fleet is aging, you will also have the opportunity to work on breakdowns. In addition to preventative maintenance, you will be expected to execute basic maintenance assignments involving but not limited to automotive, electrical systems, and other related trade skill sets under the guidance and mentorship of senior-level mechanics. You will also be required to read and interpret repair manuals, basic electrical and hydraulic schematics, and instructions from your supervisor/manager. Upon joining, you will receive hands-on training and be given ample time to shadow senior technicians. We believe in growing our employees and will not set anyone up to fail. Hard Skills

  • Diagnostics experience

  • Preventative Maintenance experience

  • Hydraulic experience

  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and basic electrical and hydraulic schematics

  • Ability to work under guidance and accept mentorship from senior mechanics

  • Willingness to ask questions

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dulles, Virginia.

Work Environment

This role is situated in a typical shop environment located in the cargo area of the airport. A SIDA badge is required as the job entails driving on the tarmac. New hires typically start off on the first shift for the first couple of weeks for training purposes and then are moved to second shift. Overtime is common, particularly in the fall/winter, and can range from 8-10 hours a week. You must have your own hand tools (a list will be provided) and be open to working holidays, although usually only a few volunteers are needed.
