Job Description: Position will deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active systems in order to ensure proper operation of applications in the cloud; design, develop, and maintain cloud-based systems in Azure Cloud and DevOps; collaborate with development teams and Data Scientists to implement, deploy and troubleshoot applications; design, develop, and implement automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for deploying microservices applications and ML services; utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to manage and provision infrastructure resources for development, testing, and production environments; configure and manage Kubernetes clusters for deploying containerized microservices and ML services; implement best practices for container image building and management using container registries like Azure Container Registry (ACR); monitor and troubleshoot deployments, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and reliability; implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security tools into the CI/CD pipeline for vulnerability scanning and code analysis; manage database schema migrations for both relational (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases used by the applications; stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies; ensuring efficient use of state-of-the-industry engineering practices by reviewing, broadcasting and coaching software engineering standards and knowledge; promote and elaborate the DevOps approach; pro-actively monitor the related IT systems and services; create and provide documentations; knowledge of IT guidelines and policies and acting respectively; and, self-education and training on existing applications and new technologies. Domestic (U.S.) travel and International travel is required up to 10% for travel and collaboration on projects. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% but must be located in Central Standard Time.
Job requirements: The position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Software Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of progressive related post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered or in a DevOps Engineer - related occupation. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following:
- At least four (4) years of development/programming experience using languages including C#, TypeScript, and Python.
- At least three (3) years as a full stack development engineer.
Experience must also include the following:
- Demonstrable experience designing, developing, and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for microservices and ML deployment;
- Demonstrable experience with Azure and Azure DevOps and its functionalities (build and release pipelines, repositories, artifacts);
- Demonstrable experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform;
- Demonstrable experience in Microservice technologies including Kubernetes, and REST/gRPC APIs; and,
- Demonstrable experience managing database schema migrations for relational (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
Domestic (U.S.) travel and International travel is required up to 10% for travel and collaboration on projects. Telecommuting permitted up to 100% but must be located in Central Standard Time.
