About the role The DevOps Engineer will be part of the Platform Services Team, which is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud resources for all of Quantum Health. This role will be focused in four key areas: designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS, strategizing with management and stakeholders on technology and process recommendations, maintaining and improving our CI/CD processes, and collaborating with other DevOps Engineers on the team. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with other Engineers on the Platform Services Team, Software Engineers and Architects, and Business Intelligence groups to create new Cloud resources for many ongoing Quantum Health initiatives. What you'll do Maintain, implement, or improve upon existing DevOps Projects, Repositories, and Pipelines. Repositories are Git Based, and Pipelines can include both Linux and Windows based agents and processes. Deploy new AWS resources leveraging GitHub Enterprise in line with business needs and requests. Collaborate with stakeholders and project management teams to determine resources needed for their requests. Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution. Coordinate DevOps project tasks within the Platform Services team to ensure we meet the goals that we agree to with stakeholders. Work independently and with others, utilizing current industry best practices and resources, to create standards around which new processes can be developed. Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop plans and processes to improve and expand upon them. Document processes and procedures in Confluence. Review Pull requests in GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps. Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation for production issues. All other duties as assigned. What you'll bring Education: Degree in related area or equivalent experience Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams Ability to work effectively in a team environment while being self-motivated and independent Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset Ability to quickly comprehend and learn new technologies Proficiency in various automation tasks and proactive monitoring 4+ years deploying and managing Linux (BottleRocket, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) 4+ years deploying and managing AWS technologies including EKS, EC2, IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, and SSM 4+ years creating infrastructure-as-code in Terraform or CloudFormation 4+ years creating and maintaining scripts such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell 4+ years managing CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps 2+ years working with Docker containers in EKS, ECS, or self-hosted Kubernetes 2+ years managing Git-based repositories Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and observability tools (Dynatrace, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana) Ability to follow a change management process Experience providing
