Join Our Supply team at Diageo’s new brewery in Kildare.

Diageo is a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer categories. These brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, J&B, Buchanan’s and Windsor whiskies, Smirnoff, Cîroc and Ketel One vodkas, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray and Guinness.

Diageo’s new €200 million state-of-the-art carbon neutral brewery in Newbridge, Co. Kildare will brew lagers and ales including Rockshore, Harp, Smithwick’s, Kilkenny and Carlsberg. With a capacity of 2 million hectolitres, it will be the second largest brewing operation in Ireland after St. James’s Gate and support the future growth of Diageo Ireland’s beer brands.

The state-of-the-art brewery will be powered with 100% renewable energy and will harness the latest process technology to minimise overall energy and water consumption. The target date for the brewery to begin production is 2026 and it will facilitate the growth of overall beer exports from Ireland. It will also facilitate enhanced capacity for the production of the fast-growing Guinness 0.0 at the traditional home of Guinness at St James’s Gate in Dublin.

About the Role

As the construction commences on Ireland’s first purpose-built carbon neutral brewery, we have a great opportunity for two Operations Managers to join our growing Project Operations team.

We are seeking two dynamic Operations Managers to join our project team, playing a crucial role in driving the Brewing Process and Utilities aspects of project design and operational readiness. As a key member of the team, the Operations Manager(s) will provide essential technical expertise to guide further design development, while demonstrating strong leadership and organisational skills to ensure key operational readiness deliverables are met. This project role is scheduled to conclude with the full handover of the plant to the Operations team in February 2026.

As one of the earliest team members, you will be key in helping shape the culture of the Brewery. You will be a leader who is passionate about driving an environment of dedication, collaboration, and continuous improvement where people are highly engaged, and manufacturing excellence is at the forefront of how we do business. You will be self-motivated, creating energy across the wider site team, and an example of what is required to continually service our customers at the highest levels of efficiency.

These roles will collaborate with CAPEX engineering, St James Gate production, global beer technical, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration and execution.

Responsibilities include finalising process and plant design, managing liquid validation and production ramp-up, developing service level agreements, and preparing supply contracts.

The Operations Managers will ensure compliance with Diageo Brewing and Quality standards through commissioning, engage with design partners, engineers, operators, and suppliers for smooth commissioning activities.

They will manage KPIs for Brewing and Utilities Packages, support various workstream leads, and attend FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) processes.

Additionally, they will develop Manufacturing Excellence practices, support recruitment and training of operators, manage the operator cohort through commissioning and handover, and develop standard weekly production tasks. The role also involves supporting systems development and validation ahead of and during commissioning.

Effective collaboration between the two Operations Managers is critical to ensure consistency and holistic plant performance.
