Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Partner Solutions Architect, focused on supporting AWS Partners to join our thriving technical community and growing business in Ireland as part of the EMEA Public Sector team. You will join a friendly and supportive team, working together with our Partners to bring the latest in disruptive cloud computing technologies to organisations serving our Public Sector customers, including: government agencies, state-owned companies, educational institutions and healthcare. Our Public Sector teams help customers and partners build a deeper understanding of hyper-scale cloud technology and application architectures, and they have the consultative skills required to deliver successful outcomes.
The AWS Partner Network (APN) is the global community of Partners, from Systems Integrators to ISVs, who leverage Amazon Web Services to build solutions and services for customers. AWS helps Partners build, market, and sell their AWS offerings by providing valuable business, technical, and marketing support. There are tens of thousands of AWS Partners across the globe. More than 90% of Fortune 100 companies and the majority of Fortune 500 companies use AWS Partner solutions and services. Key job responsibilities
As a Partner Solutions Architect you will help develop the technical capabilities of AWS Partners so they can be successful in the building and selling Cloud solutions to Public Sector customers. Working with Partners is a team effort that will require influence and coordination with many stakeholders; you will have ownership of the technical relationship with partners, making recommendations on partner solutions that best fit customer requirements for security, cost, performance, reliability, operational efficiency and best-practice architectures.
Internally, you will advocate for the Partner to help drive continual improvements to the AWS platform, sharing needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services. You will also help shape the future of the Solutions Architecture organisation by helping to hire, coach and mentor others.
Link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures with the worldwide AWS Solutions Architect community. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelise and educate about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
Educate AWS partners and customers about the art of the possible, while investigating the impossible. If you have not worked with partners before and the opportunity interests you AWS and the Partner SA team will educate you on the partner landscape.
Support partners to review, design, and deliver Proof of Concepts for customers, with a view to repeating and scaling these solutions.
Deliver technical enablement of partners and coordinate specialist technical resources when required to support our partner communities.
Evangalise the use and value proposition of AWS by speaking at partner events.

Basic Qualifications
Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
