Position Details

Overview:

Aveanna is seeking dedicated and experienced Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to lead ABA-based clinics within school settings. These clinics will provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) to children aged 3-5, integrated closely with early intervention services. This full-day program aims to ensure a seamless transition between pre-school special education classrooms and the clinic setting, promoting continuous skill development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Individualized Treatment Planning

  • Initial Assessment:Conduct comprehensive assessments using tools such as the VB-MAPP (Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program).

  • Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP):Develop customized plans for each child based on assessment results, addressing specific needs, goals, and strengths. Review and update these plans quarterly.

  • Behavioral Interventions

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA):Implement evidence-based interventions such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Training (NET), and Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT).

  • Positive Behavior Support (PBS):Utilize proactive strategies to promote desirable behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors, incorporating Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).

  • Skill Acquisition Programs

  • Communication Skills:Enhance verbal and non-verbal communication using techniques like the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices through a verbal behavior model.

  • Social Skills Training:Facilitate structured playgroups, peer modeling, and social stories to foster interaction and social understanding.

  • Adaptive Skills:Provide training in activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence.

  • Data Collection and Progress Monitoring

  • Real-Time Data Collection:Continuously collect data on target behaviors and skills using digital tools and software for efficient tracking.

  • Regular Progress Reviews:Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss progress, update ITPs, and adjust interventions as needed.

  • Completion of Daily Clinical Notes:Maintain thorough documentation and complete daily clinical notes to ensure accurate records and facilitate billing for services.

  • Family Involvement and Training

  • Parent Training Programs:Conduct workshops and one-on-one training sessions to empower parents with ABA techniques and strategies.

  • Home-Based Support:Extend clinic programs into the home environment through regular consultation and support.

  • Collaborative Approach

  • Interdisciplinary Team:Coordinate with BCBAs, Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and special education teachers.

  • Integrated Services:Ensure seamless collaboration with early intervention programs to maintain consistency across settings.

  • Supervision and Training

  • BHT Supervision:Provide supervision and training to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), ensuring they effectively implement ITPs and utilize ABA techniques.

  • Service Provision

  • Service Delivery:Provide the specified amount of services as detailed in each student's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.

  • Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA).

  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for young children with developmental and behavioral challenges.

  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques, including DTT, NET, and PRT.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a school or clinical setting with early intervention programs.
