Summary:We are hiring a People Relations Coordinator to support Sevan's supports Human Resource functions, with a focus on new hire onboarding and recruiting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Onboarding:

  • Coordinates completion of new hire onboarding including the initiation of background screening and drug testing, monitoring the process, obtaining required information from candidates and service vendors and reporting candidate status to stakeholders (Recruiting Manager and Hiring Manager).

  • Escalates background screening cases to stakeholders in accordance with defined company policy.

  • Verify I-9 documentation and submit documents via E-Verify for employment eligibility.

  • Order new hire kits, collect necessary documentation, and ensure accurate record-keeping in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).

  • Communicate across all support departments and hiring team of changes in new hires start date, or employment eligibility.

  • Craft and send communication to new hires with information throughout the onboarding process.

  • Act as point of contact for newly hired and newly onboarded employees.

Recruiting:

  • Provides administrative support to recruiting team, including posting open positions to job boards, scheduling interviews, creating offer documents, and assisting with projects as assigned.

  • Coordinates aspects of campus recruiting including career fair registrations, campus team coordination and communication, posting internship jobs, attending career fairs and other campus events, intern candidate sourcing and screening, and creating intern offer paperwork.

  • Assists in coordination of intern orientation events and presentations.

Learning & Development:

  • Supports the learning & development team with administrative tasks, including program reporting and vendor management.

  • Assists with the management of the Learning Management System (LMS), including new hire entry, and coursework coordination.

  • Coordinates logistics for various company events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or minimum of 2 years- experience in a support role preferred.

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or group of employees.

  • Ability to solve problems in standard situations.

  • Ability to establish and maintain work priorities in support of multiple team members.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

Pay & Benefits:

The anticipated compensation range for the position is $50,000 to $55,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.

Work Conditions& Travel:

This hybrid role is based at our Downers Grove, IL headquarters, with a weekly schedule of four in-office days and one remote day. A highly collaborative in-office environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives. The workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible. Travel on an as needed basis (0-10%).
