Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in Downers Grove, Illinois for a Collections Specialist. In this role, you will be tasked with the responsibility of managing customer accounts, addressing inquiries, and maintaining detailed records within a detail-oriented setting.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently handle B2B collections procedures.
• Adapt swiftly to changes in work environment and job duties.
• Display strong analytical skills in resolving customer queries.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer credit applications.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required.
• Exhibit strong communication skills in all facets of the job.
• Maintain a high level of detail orientation in all dealings with customers.
The salary range for this position is $24 to $26. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, higher education is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role.
• Proficiency in B2B collections is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques (e.g., skip tracing).
• Familiarity with relevant laws regarding debt collection (e.g., FDCPA).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.
• Comfortable working with targets and tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation and persuasion skills particularly when dealing with customers.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Must pass a background and credit check.
