Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Downers Grove, Illinois
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Downers Grove, Illinois. The successful candidate will be joining a team within the telecom provider industry. This role is essential in maintaining efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain customer credit applications, ensuring all data is processed accurately and efficiently
• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate, allowing for efficient and effective account management
• Address and resolve customer inquiries related to credit, providing excellent customer service
• Monitor customer credit accounts, identifying and acting upon any delinquent payments
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections to ensure smooth financial operations
• Use programs such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and organize data effectively
• Employ Spanish Language and Spanish Translation skills to communicate with diverse customer base
• Understand and explain the impact of car loans on customer's credit and overall financial situation
• Work in a hands-on environment with some automation to manage customer accounts
• Contribute to maintaining a supportive and efficient workplace environment. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience in Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections.
• Knowledge of Commercial Collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Fluency in Spanish Language both spoken and written.
• Experience in Spanish Translation.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Must have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
