Allied Machine & Engineering CNC Operator in Dover, Ohio
Allied Machine & Engineering, headquartered in Dover, Ohio, is a leading manufacturer of holemaking and finishing cutting tool systems. Our tooling solutions deliver the lowest cost per hole in a wide range of applications.
Allied is currently looking for an individual to set-up the finish grinders.
Night Shift
Regular shift: 5:00pm - 5:00am
Training shift: 5:00am - 5:00pm
2-2-3 Schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on - working every other weekend)
Requirements
Operate and Setup Walter Finish Grind 5-axis grinders on standard product and special items.
Perform complete inspections using an optical comparator, contracer, and camera
Create part programs on PC stations utilizing blueprints and data files
Perform wheel truing on all standard wheel sets, online and offline. Establish wheels on machine for truing, build new wheel stacks.
Troubleshoot quality-related issues on the grinders
Run production
Observe and report all areas that need addressed.
Maintain a high quality level as well as a high rate of efficiency.
Work in a safe manner at all times.
Correct reporting of job transactions.
Fill out NCR for blades that do not meet our quality standards
Follow inspection plan
Proper use and care of micrometers and calipers.
Read and understand blueprints.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Completed or enrolled in apprenticeship program preferred.
Experience:
One year working knowledge of finish grinding operations, preferred.
Experience with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicator gauges
One year of CNC equipment set-up preferred.
