Inpatient Social Worker - Full Time - Day Shift

Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Dover Behavioral Health System is seeking a dynamic and talented Inpatient Social Worker - Adult Population for our inpatient psychiatric hospital. The incumbent will be responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to acute child, adolescent, and adult patients. This position is Monday - Friday core business hours with a weekend and holiday on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducts psychosocial assessments to identify patient issues and develop treatment plans, and provides individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

  • Participates in treatment team meetings, presents patient cases, and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team.

  • Develops and coordinates individualized discharge plans, identifying aftercare needs and utilizing resources such as outpatient programs and mental health practitioners.

  • Serves as the patient's primary contact and advocate, reporting incidents or suspected abuse to community/state agencies and representing the facility in legal proceedings.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

  • Master's degree in Social work or a related Social Services field

    Preferred:

  • LMSW or a related Counseling license

  • One year with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, treatment and/or clinical assessment skills
