POSITION PURPOSE

Under the direction of the PHOENIX( Population Health OutcomEs aNd Information Exchange) Principal Investigator, provide data management and analytic support to complete research, evaluation and public health surveillance projects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Data Management- identify, ingest, transform, and merge data using appropriate tools and software (e.g.,SQL(Structured Query Language), SAS/R (Statistical Analysis Software/programming language).

Data Analysis- Perform power calculations, create graphs/figures/tables, calculate univariable and bivariable test statistics, and develop multivariable regression models for cross sectional and longitudinal data.

Assist Investigators and/or Supervisor with summarizing/organizing data to be used in preparing and presenting presentations for professional, scientific and academic conferences and submittal to academic and scholarly peer-reviewed journals.

Maintain the work areas. Order and organize required supplies and records. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work station.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s degree

EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2years job-related experience)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have SQL (Structured Query Language)programming skills; python coding abiliites are also preferred.

Must be proficient in the use of SAS, R, (Statistical Analysis Software/programming language), or to a lesser extent STATA (statistical software for data science) for purposes of data management.

Ability to work independently is critical.

Ability to analyze, summarize and interpret research findings and data in reports and spreadsheets and communicate results.

Excellent time management and organization skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with others in a collaborative environment.

Proficient in Microsoft office software skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field of study, preferred.
