Robert Half Staff Accountant in Denver, Colorado

Description We are offering a unique opportunity in Denver, Colorado for a Staff Accountant in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. This role will involve supporting our accounting team in various transactions, processing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and other finance-related tasks. This is a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Processing Accounts Payable (AP) and vendor transactions

• Supporting the accounting team in transactions related to asset management payroll

• Handling Accounts Receivable (AR), invoicing, lien waivers, collections

• Conducting reconciliations and managing weekly cash flow

• Processing Journal Entries and bank reconciliations

• Ensuring timely check printing and mailing, as well as managing ad hoc processes

• Utilizing various software tools including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to effectively perform tasks and maintain accurate records. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in the Energy/Natural Resources industry

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations and handle General Ledger

• Proficiency in creating Journal Entries and managing Month End Close

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus.
