About the team: The team you will be working with is an agile scrum team focused on building APIs and Event-Driven Applications that are enhancing our payments solutions offerings for partners to improve our competitive position and grow revenue.
What you will be doing: In this role, you will be designing and building out our next generation RESTful APIs and Event-Driven solutions for our financial business partners. You will be leading a team of backend engineers.
Lead API Developer who develops and tests software systems using Java, various Spring and AWS technologies.
Leads design and code review sessions and mentors' other engineers.
Participates in end-to-end in the product development lifecycle: requirements gathering, analysis, solution design, development, code reviews, testing and implementation using Agile methodologies.
Participates in peer discussion and work with Product Teams, Enterprise Architects to design detailed solutions and/or enhance existing systems and platforms.
Communicate project status and deliverables between several stakeholders including product managers, project managers and engineering leaders.
Creates and maintains documentation for coding standards, RESTful Standards, Developer on-Boarding etc.
May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
What you bring:
Strong Technical ownership and Leadership.
Demonstrated experience in leading/mentoring teams.
Should be able to work with minimal supervision.
10+ years of development experience building secure, modular backend applications.
5+ years of RESTful APIs Development experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Relational and/or No-SQL Databases.
3+ Years of building clean code and cloud native applications.
3+ years of AWS Cloud development experience
Experience in designing and developing event-driven applications using Kafka.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology.
Added bonus if you have: Experience with other technologies is a plus:
AWS Solution Architect certification is a plus.
CI/CD using Github Actions, Jenkins.
