General Description:
We have an opening for a Safety Coordinator at our Denver branch. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and stewardship of key elements of Tolin’s safety program, including awareness and communications, metrics and reporting, training and development, and other key safety processes. This role will support the Manager of Safety in developing new safety programs while establishing and maintaining a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Responsibilities for Safety Coordinator include:
Support the Manager of Safety with implementation of the safety program
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules
Internal company relations
External relations with customers and vendors
Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures
Technical competency of field activities in relation to performing the job safely
Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping, recording, and reporting
OSHA Compliance
Safety Training and Development
Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards
Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates
Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
Site Safety Compliance
Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations
Review accident and incident reports
Safety Record Keeping
Assist in fleet safety through GPS/Dashcam system
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications :
General understanding of OSHA regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to conduct training
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Minimum Qualifications:
Over 18 years of age
High School diploma or GED
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent Customer Service phone skills
Valid driver's license with driver records in good standing
Compensation & Benefits:
Average Starting Rate: $21.00-$23.00/hr. Combined experience, education, skills and knowledge will be taken into consideration.
