The Prologis Essentials Team is growing rapidly to create the first and only truly turnkey warehouse solution.

A day in the life

The Manager, Warehouse Design and Automation role will report to the Director of Warehouse Design & Automation and will be invited to collaborate on programmatic initiatives and strategy. We are looking for someone that provides a combination of technical expertise and sales support experience to propose complex warehouse products and services to our customers. You will play a key role in building trust that Essentials is the "one hand to shake" for all our customers' warehousing needs. This subject matter expert will have a good grasp of the business cases to support next-gen warehouse solutions and be able to present compelling operational impact and return on investment.

Key responsibilities include: Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams: Sales, leasing, property management, development, vendor partners, procurement, finance, etc Assist the sales teams in assessing project leads: consulting with customers, reviewing operational workflows and operational data Design solutions, create proposals and communicate value propositions to customers Partner with the Essentials Delivery Team to ensure appropriate project schedules and vendor management measures are in place Visit customer sites to meet with local decision makers, take tours, learn processes, ask questions, and build trust in Essentials solutioning capabilitie Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and escalate as needed Ensure you are up-to-date on industry trends and leading technologies in the warehouse solutions space Ability to travel 25% of the time

Building blocks for success

Required: 5+ years of experience in warehouse design, MHE, and automation and robotics Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing proposal documents and business cases Subject matter expertise with knowledge of leading warehouse technologies and providers Consultative project experience: Understanding a customer's business and operations to create trust and provide valuable insight. Proven track record of winning contracts and bringing complex projects to fruition Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work independently

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience MBA a plus. AutoCAD drafting experience Technical writing skills
