Business Intake Specialist/ Research Legal Assistant

Our client, a leading and very prestigious regional law firm location in downtown Denver is currently seeking a 2 plus years Legal Business Intake Specialist to provide the intake lawyers and their assistant with an efficient and seamless business intake process when opening new matters. The legal researcher will assist intake attorneys and lateral hires with opening new matters or adding parties to existing matters from start to finish, including drafting engagement letters, using the electronic business intake system. The Legal Assistant will monitor the intake system for irregularities or inefficiencies, review the system for stalled requests, assist users with delegating requests, complete active requests for departed attorneys or secretaries, troubleshoot and correct user errors and report system issues, and provide training to users on how to use the electronic business intake system. The business intake legal specialist will assist timekeepers and their legal assistants with getting their matters inactivated and concluded matter letters saved to system. The intake specialist will assist with other duties and projects as assigned by the Business Intake Supervisor or the Ethics & Business Intake Attorney. Bachelor’s degree preferred, two years prior experience as a legal assistant or a similar role at a large or medium firm preferred, high level of proficiency using personal computers, database software, Adobe, Windows applications. Experience with Aderant Expert or Intapp products a plus. Excellent spelling & grammar, writing, research, and proofreading skills are required for this position. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills are required. This position requires good organizational and planning skills to prioritize and handle detailed and repetitive work, and to assess, recommend and implement improved work procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in Case Management Software is required

• Experience in using LexisNexis for legal research

• Familiarity with Management System operations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites

• Knowledge of Billing Functions within a legal context

• Ability to handle legal Briefing and Complaint Handling

• Proficiency in Calendar Management and Documentation

• Experience in Conflict Management and Resolution in a professional setting

• Ability to perform Conflicts Checks and handle Employee conflicts

• Experience with Electronic Records management

• Familiarity with Law Library resources and legal research.
