JBS USA JBS SANITATION SUPERVISOR in Denver, Colorado

Responsibilities:

  1. Sanitation Operations Management:

  2. Supervise and actively participate in the execution of daily sanitation activities, including cleaning, sanitizing, waste management, and pest control, to ensure compliance with established procedures and schedules.

  3. Conduct regular inspections to assess sanitation conditions, identify areas for improvement, and take immediate corrective actions.

  4. Lead by example in maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility.

  5. Collaborate with the Sanitation Operations Superintendent to develop and update sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines.

  6. Oversee the inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring their availability, proper storage, and efficient usage.

  7. Employee Training and Development:

  8. Train and mentor sanitation staff on proper sanitation procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and personal hygiene practices.

  9. Provide ongoing coaching and support to employees, ensuring their understanding and adherence to sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.

  10. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, encouraging teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.

  11. Safety and Compliance:

  12. Champion a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety guidelines, policies, and procedures within the sanitation team.

  13. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards or risks related to sanitation operations.

  14. Collaborate with the health and safety team to implement and reinforce safety programs, conduct safety training sessions, and investigate accidents or incidents.

  15. Ensure compliance with all applicable sanitation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

  16. Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:

  17. Implement quality control measures to ensure sanitation processes meet established standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

  18. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any sanitation-related issues that may impact product quality and safety.

  19. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement in sanitation operations, and implement innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.

  20. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management, and propose relevant improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant education or certifications are a plus.

  • Proven experience in hands-on sanitation operations, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations and industry best practices.

  • Spanish bi-lingual highly preferred.

  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead by example and motivate a team effectively.

  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to actively participate in sanitation activities as needed.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and develop employees, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office applications.

  • Commitment to safety and ability to promote and enforce a culture of safety.

  • Physical stamina and ability to perform hands-on duties that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.

  • Base salary range of $46,342 - $62,561
