CTL|Thompson, Inc. Construction Materials Testing Technician - Denver Geotechnical Laboratory in Denver, Colorado
CTL|Thompson, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician for full-time employment with our Denver, CO Geotechnical Laboratory. Engineering Technicians will assist geotechnical engineers in testing of soils, and asphalt. Prepare written or digital test reports that transmit observation and laboratory test results. Convey results to laboratory supervisors and project engineers. Maintain and clean equipment, and work areas as needed. Responsibilities may include assisting laboratory supervisors in other assignments. Comply with company polices and safety standards.
Engineering Technician I are paid between $17.00 and $28.00 per hour. Engineering Technician II are paid between $20.00 and $32.00 per hour. Engineering Technician III are paid between $23.00 and $36.00 per hour. Our offer will be based upon the individual’s experience and qualifications. Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform testing in accordance with industry standards, training, and specified procedures.
Document observations and tests results accurately.
Maintain and calibrate assigned equipment.
Follow safety rules and practices, including project specific policies.
Maintain quality standards for all assignments performed.

Education and Experience:
Engineering Technician I
+ + High school diploma or equivalent.
- Job related certifications preferred.
Engineering Technician II
+ + High school diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 applicable certifications.
B.S. in geology (in addition to or in place of experience and certifications).
Engineering Technician III
+ + High school diploma or equivalent.
4 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 3 applicable certifications.
B.S. in civil, geotechnical or related engineering field (in addition to or in place of experience and certifications).
Work Environment:
This job operates inside, in a geotechnical laboratory environment. Routinely uses PPE and other safety equipment.
Physical/General Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds at times.
Evening and weekend work possible.

Satisfactory completion of a drug test from a laboratory certified by Colorado and chosen (and paid for) by CTL|Thompson, Inc. The laboratory will collect and test the drug test samples, for which the required notice will be included with any employment offer and for which the required consent forms will be provided by the laboratory.
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with the company automobile insurance policy guidelines.
