This position will identify and acquire new commercial relationships with a corporate structure and complex stakeholder matrix (meaning the stakeholder matrix mirrors that of a corporation with multiple functional areas, executive stakeholders, and constituents who all must buy in to the service offered).

Role Responsibilities

  • Secure new payments, including corrections pay, clients to grow the North America C2B business, with expertise in selling cash payments made at Western Union agent locations.

  • Identify enterprise level billers through complex market research, high level networking and prospecting, internal lead generation, and enhance prospecting.

  • Sell Western Union bill payment services to enterprise level billers in the Corrections, Utility, Rental, Mortgage, Auto, and Finance industries, and Aggregator relationships.

  • Draft RFPs and responses for pipeline management

  • Support ongoing relationships through account management services with Quarterly Business Reviews, client requests, and client audits.

  • Focus on securing material sized, new billers/clients to close gaps in the existing biller network.

  • Work cross functionally with internal Western Union teams to successfully sign and implement new billers/clients in partnership with the operations and implementation teams.

  • Align with new billers/clients on ideal marketing and customer service methods that will drive joint success.

  • Requires autonomy in sales prospecting, engagement, negotiation, and deal closure with minimal support from direct supervisor.

  • This position is essential in securing the top billers in the United States.

  • Identify & prioritize enterprise level prospect billers and clients using market data, competitive insights, networking, established existing relationship with clients, and voice of the customer and agent referrals.

  • Successfully sign and implement new billers/clients in partnership with the operations and implementation teams. Align with new billers/clients on ideal marketing and customer service methods that will drive joint success.

  • Networking and ability to operate independently while achieving goals; autonomy in completing deals, confidence, and executive presence.

  • Responsible for successful sales and revenue delivery of enterprise level billers in USA, as identified by market assessment.

  • Must autonomously lead sales end to end including prospecting, outreach, networking, getting to the right decision makers, reaching consensus, and engaging a cross functional team of operations, legal, technology and marketing to bring billers to market and generate revenue results.

  • Operates with minimal oversight from direct supervisor.

  • Navigates complex biller targets with corporate stakeholder matrices: strategy, finance, product, technology, business, legal stakeholder groups including that of a large and sometimes publicly traded entity.

  • The target prospects will be billers serving thousands and in some cases millions of customers, they will be multi-million-dollar entities, sometimes publicly traded or government owned.

  • For more difficult sales, a sales cycle could last 6 months to over a year, salesperson will be competing against other providers in the industry.

Role Requirements

  • 5-7 years in enterprise level sales in offering bill payment services to commercial clients.

  • Proficiency in confidently communicating to executive audiences.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful revenue outcomes.

Salary

The annual rate range is $93,750.00 – 125,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
