Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Denver, Colorado
Description Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional at a growing company. You will be responsible for entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining a cash receipting journal, and updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. The team is rapidly growing and needs a self-starter to join the accounting team! You will be processing full-cycle AP, handling a high volume of invoices per week, with high attention to detail. Key responsibilities
Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers
Follow standard procedures to perform basic accounting tasks, such as general accounting
Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Maintain, relate, and promote the mission, values and culture of the organization
Verify documents and codes Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Proficient in ERP systems
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Collections experience preferred
Deep understanding of billing
Foundational knowledge in Billing Collection
Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
