Landscape Structures Inc Shipping Team Lead - 2nd Shift in Delano, Minnesota
POSITION SUMMARY The Team Lead is responsible for supporting the process and the people in their assigned work function or work cell. This includes assigning workload, communicating to internal customers, providing continuous feedback on the daily performance of the team; listening, responding and coaching team members about concerns with standard work and process issues; and works towards meeting department goals. Duties and Responsibilities: This individual spends about 30% of their time in the process: Assigns positions or directions to team for the workday Training Ensures that training is happening and that there is time for training to happen Validates competencies of team members Acts as the outgoing quality gate This individual spends about 70% of their time working on administrative duties: Works through problems with cross functional teams/departments Conducts standard work audits Conducts safety and 5S Audits Works on MDI projects/Control Plans Trends production metrics Owns the Q Board Updates the board at a minimum of daily, and ensures department participation Puts in request to complete newspaper items Closed out newspaper items or escalates as needed End of Day Communication (depending on area: start and end of shift meeting, end of day emails or end of day checklists) Provides interview and onboarding support Follows leader standard work. Other duties as assigned.
