[POSITION PURPOSE [To plan, organize, direct and supervise professional activities related to long-term maintenance and operations of the power generation assets; to review asset performance data for performance improvements; to perform a variety of complex and difficult engineering tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility; to analyze data and perform root cause analysis of equipment/system failures to formulate corrective actions; and must communicate information to the plant management and operation and maintenance personnel, relative to the performance of the facility, and provide suggestions for improvement in order to minimize the cost of producing electricity. ]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{gothic="" malgun=""} ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES]{gothic="" malgun=""} Provides performance-related technical support, assistance, and evaluation when operating or maintenance problems occur. Assist the plant staff with technical issues and help facilitate resolution and improved operation as appropriate. Planning and scheduling of various engineering activities. (i.e. commissioning process management during construction and after COD, periodical equipment test schedule, etc.) Investigates and reports trends developing in plant performance and conduct root cause analysis(RCA) on plant. Executing engineering instructions as defined by POO. Providing immediate support for operational problems to POO and Lead Operator. Writes up plant defects and informs the relevant departments of defects affecting efficiency and availability and reliability targets. Responsible for recording all abnormal failure records and actions taken, and establishing and implementing education plans to prevent recurrence. Creating and reviewing various operating procedures (start-up and shut down, safety, LOTO, PTW, operation in an emergency, etc.), rules and regulations relating to the operations department. Reviews records and activities of operations periodically to confirm compliance with OEM guidelines and own operating procedures. Writes a monthly station performance report (generation, availability and force outage) and provides necessary data for EHS report (if needed). Evaluates plant status and adjusts plant processes as necessary to maintain efficient and reliable operation. Provides recommendations for enhanced performance and reliability of the facility. Assist with continuous improvement of the overall operations with recommendations for, developing and establishing improvements in general operating and maintenance standards and processes. Communicates plant conditions to the operations and maintenance technicians and directs them to maintain optimum plant performance. Planning and implementing acceptance performance tests and creating related calculation sheets. Reviews the appropriateness of various power generation data recorded by operators and preserves in a designated system safely. Perform duties in higher capacity as required from time to time. Works with outside contractors during overhauls or at other times, when contractors are engaged in plant work. Completes all training/qualifications required to be a Plant Engineer. Responsible for plant housekeeping and maintaining plant cleanliness. [Other duties as assigned.]{new="" roman="" times=""}
