[POSITION PURPOSE [Monitors, operates and maintains all equipment and systems in charge associated with the operation and maintenance of the facility via a control system and local equipment in a safe, reliable and efficient manner in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The FO inspects local equipment for proper lubrication, cooling water, vibration, noise, overheating and overall operational status. ]{new="" roman="" times=""}]{gothic="" malgun=""} ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES]{gothic="" malgun=""} Operates, monitors and maintains all local equipment and supporting systems, i.e. Combustion Turbine, HRSG, Steam Turbine, cooling towers, condensate system, electric system and all BOP systems. Carries out operating instructions as given by the Lead Operator or BTG. Periodically reviews all local operating and safety procedures and make recommendations for improvements where appropriate for startup, shutdown, testing, and maintenance of the power plant. Isolates equipment to be serviced or repaired in accordance with approved Lock-Out/Tag-Out Policy including pre-clearance sheets and the Permit to Work policies and procedures. Rechecks/tests all repaired equipment to determine if repair was properly done before acceptance and clearance of work. Takes immediate remedial action in respect to any malfunction or pending failure on the plant. Troubleshoots equipment and systems and provides/performs corrective action; operates systems in remote or local control to determine proper operation. Performs failure analysis to determine the cause of equipment/system malfunction. Advises management on any defect or malfunctioning of units, makes recommendations for their repairs and informs timely on the loss of generation and delays in returning units to service. Ensures that emergency and standby equipment are tested and readily available. Completes all applicable record logs regularly (i.e. supporting system equipment rounds, pre-jobs, chemical unloading, check sheets, ULSD oil consumption, etc.). Ensures plant and equipment are operated within designed specifications and parameters. Check for any possible risks such as unauthorized maintenance work, fire, flooding, collapse, environmental pollution, etc. and report them to Lead operator or BTG. Ensures that logbooks are read and acknowledgments noted on commencement of shift and all relevant information pertaining to operations and station activities are logged on completion of shift. Support maintenance of minor mechanical repairs to plant equipment e.g. changing safety valves, tightening pump glands, cleaning/replacing strainers, lubrication, greasing, changing filters, tuning, etc. Follows all safety/environmental policies, procedures, rules and participates in training. Participates, as necessary, in the development of new testing procedures which would enhance the generation of important data. Provides technical input for operation and maintenance training programs. Identifies mechanical design, machinery improvements or problems and recommends modifications necessary for resolution. Assists in the investigation of plant problems, incidents, accidents, and unusual events; and provides input and recommendations for reports and follow-up plans. Works with outside contractors during overhauls or at other times, when contractors are engaged in plant work. Completes all training/qualifications required to be a team member. Be responsible for plant housekeeping and maintaining plant cleanliness.
