Seeking SW Simulation Engineer with experience building MIL/SIL/HIL (XiL) environments including HW, models, and SW integration to join our Chassis Controls simulation team. This position is responsible for integrating SW into XiL solutions, creating automation pipelines to streamline model builds, testing, and report analysis, and leveraging XiL solutions to test Chassis SW and support defect and bug fix efforts. You will be joining a team of passionate and highly skilled engineers who are collectively working to deliver the best testing environments for our internal and external partners.

What you'll do...

  • Define efficient physical and virtual SW validation methods by integrating plant models with controller software source code.

  • Develop necessary scripts and tools to automate software build for software virtualization.

  • Engage cross functional team members to coordinate on-time delivery of in house and supplier software components to be compatible with the virtual test environments.

  • Develop virtual test environments & test cases to enable testing HW dependent test cases through simulation.

  • Work closely with ADAS feature and system engineers to resolve in-house software issues

  • Work with the Hardware in the Loop, Driver in the loop, and Vehicle in the loop Simulator teams to further reduce dependency on vehicle level testing.

  • Develop automation for build, test, data analysis and reporting.

You'll have...

  • BS in Electrical Engineering , Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 2+ years control system development experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with Matlab/Simulink tools

  • 2+ years of experience integrating Auto-generated or hand coded C-Code into a target ECU and computer simulation objects

Even better, you may have...

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • Familiarity with TargetLink, Embedded Coder, BTC Embedded Tester, DSPACE, ECU Test and Vector tools

  • Experience with Software Configuration Management Systems (e.g. Git or ClearCase)

  • Experience developing automation scripts and GUI applications (e.g. python, Matlab, C++, C#, Java)

  • Experience with building CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins

  • Demonstrated experience in building plant and controller models for automotive Braking, Steering and Suspension systems

  • Demonstrated experience in working on HIL and DIL simulators and deploying SW on external target ECUs.

  • Demonstrated experience in Vehicle CAN Network

  • Demonstrated experience in system dynamics modeling using first principals and also in using tools like CarSim or CarMaker
