Ford Motor Company PTME Controls Implementation Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan

  • Support controls engineering deliverables for programs, from simultaneous engineering through program launch for all NA sites.

  • Implement and apply standard software and hardware controls architectures across all programs, following the controls specification.

  • Ensure the identification and capture of lessons learned along with their application to new programs, including the impact to our standards.

  • Support simultaneous engineering meetings with Tier I suppliers to orchestrate controls program reviews with all interested parties.

  • Participate in management program reviews and represent the controls organization in commodity discussions.

  • Drive the controls organization to resolve issues, including feasibility, timing, cost and workload.

  • Deliver new model program work for PT programs supporting and working in either SE MI, OH or Windsor, ON

  • Potential for Travel

  • Potential for temporary off shift support

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree In Electrical, Software or Mechatronics- pursuing and received by or before September 2024

  • One to Five years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • SG5 to SG8

Preferred requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering

  • Experience in controls engineering with strong ability to quickly learn and apply controls knowledge

  • FC/FB Editing and creation

  • software programming experience - Siemens preferred

  • Direct program experience with assembly and machining controls architectures

  • Hands-on knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and fix PLC, CNC, robot, vision and other automation issues

  • Knowledge of international electrical/safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC etc)
