Dayton Children's Hospital Pharmacist- Specialty Pharmacy in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Specialty PharmacySchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:The Specialty Pharmacist is responsible for filling prescriptions with accuracy, checking the work of the technician prior to release of the product, entering prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy dispensing system, accurately entering patient data into Therigy, completing all appropriate assessments in Therigy, accurately counseling patients as needed on their specialty medication(s) and disease state, monitor for side effects and adverse reactions and review medication and medical histories to ensure appropriateness of therapy and progression toward therapeutic goals..

Department Specific Job Details:

Work schedule: As directed by the Specialty Pharmacy Manager; on-Call – as needed and all other subject to change with business needs.

Experience: Preferred: Certified Specialty Pharmacist or eligible to sit for exam

Previous experience in specialty pharmacy and clinical pharmacy support

Exposure to managed care.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree is required

Certification/Licensure:

  • Rph Ohio - Registered pharmacist - Ohio State Board of Pharmacy is required
