As a Government Property Manager I, you will be responsible for ensuring assets are managed throughout their life cycle and all current and new asset management systems and process are in compliance with FAR part 45 and FAR Clauses 52.245-1 and company polices. in this role, you'll act as the focal interface with new projects, government agencies, customers, and company management on topics that relate to asset management and promote better understanding of the property organization’s role throughout the company. You'll increase value by driving efficiencies through strategically aligned property resources, processes and systems, while working with management teams within the division and sector to develop innovative solutions for complex processes and issues, staying ahead of changing industry trends related to property management. Further, you will advise management of critical project completion dates, develop and recommend alternative schedules and recovery plans and manage property department budgets.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 2-4 years of relevant experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Basic understanding of and experience with the practical application of production/manufacturing principles, techniques and best practices

  • Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications

  • Experience with materials management systems

  • Previous supervisory experience; the ability to recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and supplements and contracts

  • Providing guidance and training to property employees and company personnel for all Government Property tracking tools

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner

  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable regulations

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of UID Registry and DCMA eTools and PIEE Databases

  • Certification in National Property Management Association CPPA higher ( NPMA )

  • Understanding of Assembly, Integration and Test practices

  • Experience with materials management systems

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six-sigma, and/or Theory of Constraints Manufacturing Principles

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
