About the Role

The role exists to consult on all aspects of Global data design, fabrication maintenance and product development efforts for News, Business and Topical Content. This role identifies ways fabrication solutions can be applied to support business strategies and improve business processes. Individuals in this role partner with the Operations Directors, LNNA and GNS business units, Content Planners, Offshore Partners, GTO, RETS, etc. to identify and define Strategic direction to improve Customer Experience. The Global Content Consultant – Data Fabrication may be required to provide direction for both U.S. and International development/maintenance work, specifically when it comes to high severity incident reports, time-critical project deadlines and Tier 0 or Eclipse Critical. Incumbents will conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost-benefit analysis. They also review estimates, sizing's and designs to ensure compliance with content, product, and fabrication standards. This position will have responsibility for consulting and/or leading Global cross-functional projects, including creating and driving project plans to completion, delivering on schedule and against project targets.

This position will also be responsible for driving and implementing Continuous Improvement Initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Producing material for publication, ensuring all material included is accurate Planning, organizing and editing material for publication as discrete volumes/titles

  • Liaising with senior team members and others in regard to content and any other issues

  • Engaging in author recruitment for both existing and new products in any media

  • Taking responsibility for production work and departmental or title administration

  • Partnering with authors to assure the timely delivery of manuscripts in appropriate formats

Requirements

* POSITION IS HOMEBASED DAYTON, OH*

  • Be a natural problem solver, able to collaborate with your team to resolve issues

  • Have substantial publishing experience

  • Be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to think analytically

  • Have excellent written English, including the capacity to write within strict constraints of house style

  • Proven experience in all phases of fabrication and/or product development/maintenance/source or metadata/database infrastructure

  • Proven experience in all job functions such as Product Manager, Content Specialist, Content Analyst, or Update Editor

  • Experience in XML and VISF data Fabrication

  • Experience in News, Business and Topical Content Fabrication

  • Have a J.D. or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • May be required to work on-call and/or to work different shift hours to accommodate varying time zones.

  • International Travel required

  • Other duties as assigned.
