Position Overview Riverside Research and the IDS Business Unit are seeking a full time Facility Mechanical Engineer in the Dayton, OH area. This position will focus on facility design, construction, and project management for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This position Responsibilities Provide professional Mechanical Engineering oversight for all of the customer's facility projects by gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design Prepare preliminary assessments of projects, determines its feasibility, and generates accurate and detailed records of engineering and project management data Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans Work cohesively with engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer's goals, objectives and security requirements Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects Other responsibilities include: Project Management & Project Schedules Design Reviews / Drawings, Specifications, Analysis , Submittals, Shop Drawings, Requirements Gathering and Documentation Code / Standards / Regulations Interpretation Secure Environment / Security Requirements Capture top level meeting minutes Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 8 years combined experience with private sector and Government projects Briefing Military/Government Councils Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel Proficiency in the use of Internet browsers and email Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur Desired Qualifications: Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including electrical systems) a plus Performs a range of special projects related Mechanical Engineering project management Global Comp This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
