Community Blood Center Distribution Supervisor in Dayton, Ohio

The Distribution Supervisor: Assists department manager with selection, training, orientation, leadership, evaluation, and counseling of employees. Oversees day-to-day activities of the distribution department and provides assistance as needed Assists manager with inventory reconciliation, inventory transfers, audits, and tissue discards Conducts departmental communication meetings and assists manager with employee assignments and time keeping Ensures distribution staff, materials handling systems, processes and activities are in alignment with OSHA safety guidelines and practices. Develops, implements and maintains all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed for the uniformity and quality of operations and in keeping with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Drives continuous improvement activities related to the Distribution department. Assists in development and achievement of departmental goals consistent with Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS's) mission and strategic plan. Meet operational strategies defined by management by analyzing trends, preparing critical measurements, implementing productivity improvements and resolving problems. Assists in budget development and ongoing monitoring expenses. Works effectively to maintain interdepartmental communication, cooperation, and respect. Performs other duties as assigned.
