Honeywell Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II in Danville, Kentucky

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Danville, KY location on a full-time work schedule.
In this role you will use your extensive knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of products while supporting new products from concept development through the start of production for manufacturing cost, yield, and schedule execution. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who support current product value engineering and the optimization of the manufacturing process. Use your manufacturing engineering experience to support development of new products, standards and processes to achieve manufacturing goals. You will support daily production activities and drive improvement in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various functional teams
Prepare or update reports and documentation
Use analytical tools and theories
Participate in project teams
Assembly and Test Troubleshooting
Product dispositions of non-conforming hardware
Issue identification and analysis
New Product Introduction
New Product Line Integration
Maintenance of Automation
Perform make/buy analysis
Initiate capital appropriations requests and financial justification
Specify and recommend capital equipment in fabrication and assembly applications

YOU MUST HAVE
Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles
Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing
Experience with data analysis and statistical process control
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s degree in engineering including, but not limited to, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, software, chemical, process, industrial
2+ years of work experience including manufacturing engineering and/or design engineering
Computer skills including Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD and Solidworks
Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, collaboration
Lean manufacturing experience, certification in Green Belt or Black Belt a plus
4+ years of experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer
Project Management experience, certification a plus
Experience with automation and digitalization a plus
Ability to focus on important information and identify key details
Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on tasks
Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
