Description Near the Dallas, Texas area, a firm is looking to fill a multi-faceted Tax Preparer role. Apply now through Robert Half. You will be accountable for the preparation of simple and complex, individual and small business State and Federal tax returns as the Tax Preparer. Offered on a long-term duration, this is a contract / contract to permanent position. Apply today! What you get to do every single day - Provide factual data into Tax software application - Produce other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned - Service incoming client calls to respond to tax questions and set appointments - Call or email clients to gather fundamental information/documents - Organize transaction tax returns utilizing various methods (Paper, E File, EDI Upload) with various government agencies - Tabulate and invoice for form preparation fees Requirements Requirements: 5+ years experience in Tax or Accounting Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited university, required. MBA or detail oriented certification preferred. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups required; Macros preferred) Comprehensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations. Excellent communication skills Strong general ledger/journal entry proficiency
