Robert Half Staff Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our team in the Investment Management industry, located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves preparing journal entries related to investment and operating activities for various entities, reconciling cash, holdings, and investment transactions, and refining financial statement preparation processes.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and document journal entries related to investment and operating activities for various entities
• Manage partner capital activity in investment partnerships
• Reconcile cash, holdings, and investment transactions for investment partnerships
• Input and document valuations of outside fund and private equity investments and fixed income securities
• Handle the allocation of P& L and management and performance fees among partners in investment partnerships
• Refine financial statement preparation and tie-out processes
• Document various accounting processes including investment valuations, technical accounting matters, reporting tools, accounting systems, and internal controls
• Design and/or modify recurring financial statements and other reports
• Assist with annual financial statement audits and agreed upon procedure
• Utilize software tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Possess solid knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proven expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Demonstrated experience in managing General Ledger
• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
• Experience in facilitating Month End Close
• Proficiency in using financial software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Experience in the Investment Management industry is a plus.
