The Sr. Property Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting tasks related to our commercial and residential properties. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and provide insightful recommendations to enhance our financial operations.

responsibilities:

  • Tenant Billings:** Manage tenant billing processes accurately and timely.

  • Triple Net Cost Recoveries:** Handle triple net cost recoveries and perform year-end reconciliations.

  • Bank Reconciliations:** Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.

  • Deposit Applications:** Apply deposits and maintain accurate records.

  • Invoice Coding:** Code invoices accurately and efficiently.

  • Journal Entries:** Prepare and post journal entries.

  • CAM Expenses:** Oversee Common Area Maintenance (CAM) expenses.

  • Accounts Payable:** Manage accounts payable functions.

  • Budget Preparation:** Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.

  • Monthly Reporting:** Generate monthly financial reports and operating reports for several residential properties.

  • Financial Analysis:** Provide analysis and insights to support decision-making.

qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in commercial property management accounting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of property management accounting practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and make strategic recommendations.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
