Actalent Quality Control Specialist in Dallas, Texas
Job Description:
The Quality Control/Inventory Control Specialist will help managing specialized medical device equipment such as inventory Loaner Pool, Implant banks, instrument sets. The individual will help coordinate all activities related to schedule, estimate costs and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines. The candidate will maintain inventory and hospital accounts alongside returns, non conformant, excess and expired inventory.
The candidate will provide logistical support to all sales representatives for inventory requests. The focus will be on complete inventory management based on providing the instrumentation and implants needed to support surgeries. Duties will include entering, shipping, tracking, and expediting orders with an investigation into any delivery delays.

The candidate will also track inventory returned to fully reconcile sets after usage and manage any discrepancies.
Routine review of transactional details will be required to maintain accuracy, service, and quality standards and to meet service level agreement targets
Evaluates all loaners and consignment inventory requests – proactively communicating and confirming all tray configuration set/part needs for the Sales Rep
Manages inventory levels of assigned account portfolios
Coordinates and processes implant and instrument set requests for scheduled surgeries, prioritizing available inventory based on delivery requirements
Regularly updates distributors and sales representatives on the status of inventory orders
Understands and proactively educates distributors on par levels for inventory, adjusting inventory requests accordingly and in partnership with the Sales Rep’s needs
Provides courier coordination for priority loaner inventory requests with consideration to travel time and sterilization window requirements
Optimizes circulation of loaner pool inventory to meet surgery needs with ongoing communication and expected return dates
Maintains reconciliation of loaner inventory kits upon field transfer or return to the warehouse
Restocks loaner field inventory only as necessary for additionally booked surgeries
Manages late loaner list as defined by departmental turn-around times
Cancels order lines for products not shipped when surgery has already taken place, or when inventory will no longer be needed
Logs field complaints in a timely manner as per regulatory requirements
Establishes and maintains an outstanding relationship with distributors and regional sales managers
