Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
Researches technical data and performs inspection of hangared aircraft in heavy maintenance checks, flightline/storage induction or reactivation, and back shop repair/overhaul maintenance activities in accordance with applicable aircraft/component maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies and procedures. Enforces Quality Control standards for material receiving, shipping, storage, handling, repairs, and overhaul to ensure quality and compliance with specifications and standards set by the company and the applicable manufacturer.
Responsibilities
Perform inspection of aircraft components during their assembly, installation, and adjustment phases to ensure conformance to the manufacturer's specifications and maintenance manual procedures.
Ensure all Work-In-Progress is properly documented with the correct technical data references and corrective actions.
Record all inspection data on the proper forms, reports, and/or inspection tags and report any irregularities to the Lead Inspector.
Perform maintenance work/repair of company equipment and general shop housekeeping.
Test the tightness of airframe connections with hand tools and use a flashlight and mirror to inspect the fit of parts.
Examine assembly, installation, and adjustment of ailerons and rudders to ensure conformance with Civil Air Regulations, company specifications, and manual procedures.
Determine the accuracy of installation of components in power plant and hydraulic systems using protractors, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Sign inspection tags to approve units or record reasons for rejecting units.
Log inspections performed on aircraft.
Essential Skills
3-5+ years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Highly preferred: A&P License.
Experience with 777 program and regular business inspections.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Basic set of tools required.
Ability to pass an FAA Drug Test and BG Check.

Work Environment
This position requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level, occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 50lbs unassisted. It demands eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, corrected vision, and hearing to the normal range. Equipment operated includes hydraulic press brake, power shear, forming equipment, hand tools, lift equipment, stands, ladders, glass beading equipment, rivet guns, and drills. Work location is primarily on the B777 Cargo Conversion Program but may involve working property-wide. Potential hazards include exposure to high-intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working at unprotected heights or around moving machinery, and aircraft fuel tank entry. Protective equipment required includes goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, and safety harnesses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marana, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
