WESCO Manager - LEAN in Dallas, Texas

As the Manager - LEAN, you will manage the implementation, administration and measurement of Commercial LEAN programs. You will work with select commercial Region/Business(es) by applying Lean (PDCA) approach, promoting and guiding LEAN cultural transformation, and coaching LEAN principles and practices at various stakeholder levels. This work includes LEAN capability training, providing tools, coaching and facilitation around Strategy Wesco’s Lean Operating System Deployment. This role supports driving greater customer value through increased commercial productivity and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving deployment and execution of lean operating system across select region/business(es)

  • Continually develop WESCO associates in our vision to be self-sufficient in continuous improvement mindset, skills and tools

  • Manage senior leadership, vice presidents and directors as lean leaders and key stakeholders

  • Assist in development of LEAN Leaders and through personal example, coaching, mentoring, and training

  • Lead teams through Strategy development, deployment and execution for annual planning cycle

  • Identify key strategic initiatives for select region/business(es)

  • Provide executive level updates around Lean programs status, activities, value capture and risks

  • Serve as catalyst to promote LEAN thinking and foster continuous improvement culture

  • Promote out-of-the-box thinking with teams to improve processes through digitization and automation

  • Facilitate various events/workshops with cross functional teams through PDCA cycle

  • Support kaizens/initiatives to enable WESCO commercial teams to reduce waste, increase productivity, improve processes, and increase revenue

  • Engage in partnership activities with suppliers and customers to achieve continuous improvement across enterprise value stream

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Business, Engineering, Logistics, Technical, or equivalent years of related experience required

  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations – LEAN, PMP, Change Management or Agile certifications preferred

  • 6 years experience of extensive LEAN leadership , with a medium or large company

  • Highly seasoned and experienced LEAN leader or 6 Sigma Black Belt with a proven track record of end-to-end management of key, strategic programs and business segments (e.g., operations, administration, customer-facing)

  • Strong leadership track record – prior experience in managing teams, commercial sales, sales enablement, RevOps

  • Extensive experience in managing change and transforming a culture to a continuous improvement mindset

  • Strong track record of accomplishments

  • Solid project management skills and kaizen event experience from initiation through full implementation

  • Strong process orientation and analytical skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, MIRO experience an asset

  • Experience with coordinating and optimizing lean tools (visualization, etc.) applications preferred

  • Ability to travel 25%.
