Job Overview:
Aptim is seeking an energetic and motivated intern to join our Engineering team. APTIM's internship program provides students with the opportunity to apply skills gained in an academic setting to challenging projects and meaningful work assignments. Interns will be paired with experienced mentors and should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, finishing their internship having gained a broad experience in various aspects of Engineering.
This is a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Perform entry-level engineering tasks for our Federal Fuels program that provides maintenance, construction, and engineering services for Department of Defense projects.
Interprets customer needs, assesses requirements, and identifies solutions to nonstandard requests.
Review and interpret specifications, drawings, scope of work documents and field data.
Gain knowledge and uphold industry standards from organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute, National Fire Protection Association, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute.
Uses best practices and knowledge of internal/external business issues to improve products or services in own discipline.
Manage and organize approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of project activities/requirements.
Works on straightforward tasks using established procedures; all work will be subject to review by others.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in an ABET accredited school.
Ability to use MS Office software, including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
Able to work effectively and professionally in both a team and autonomously.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.
Ensure compliance with all APTIM and client quality and safety policies
