Your Impact at SAM
The Electric Team Project Manager is responsible for developing work orders, working with and training technicians, and reviewing boundaries for electric industry projects.
Day-to-day tasks include overseeing project execution, collaborating with team members, and ensuring quality standards are met.
Success in this role is measured by effective teamwork, proficiency in boundary surveying, CAD software expertise, and mentorship of technicians.
Projects primarily focus on route surveying, boundary surveys, ALTAs, and topographic surveys for the electric industry. While occasional support for other teams may be required, the majority of the time will be spent working with the electric team.
The team comprises several sub-teams with 12 staff and 21 survey technicians. This position would lead a team of 2-5 technicians and coordinate with other electric PMs to balance workloads.
Contribution to the quality and timeliness of electric industry work fosters long-standing client relationships and supports company goals.
Opportunities for career growth within project management and other senior positions
This role involves a combination of managerial and individual contributor responsibilities, including client communication and marketing for additional work.
Travel is primarily for marketing events, with occasional overnight trips.
What You Bring to SAM
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, skills in TBC (Trimble Business Center) as well is preferred.
TX RPLS with basic CAD skills; Louisiana/Arkansas licensees will also be considered.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members
Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team
Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly
Ability to meet or exceed deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others
