Job Description:

The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for the development and management of individual and group strength training programs for student-athletes participating in the NCAA intercollegiate athletics program under the supervision of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Responsible for program design and implementation of assigned sports, assist with remaining sports, and assist with maintaining weight room area including health and safety standards. Work closely with coaches to develop team and individual programs based on the latest strength and conditioning techniques. Work closely with the certified athletic trainers to modify training programs to accommodate student-athletes in rehabilitation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; 1 year of coaching experience, preferably at a college level or 2 years playing experience or 2 years playing experience at a collegiate level; knowledge of & commitment to NCAA Division III rules.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Minimum bachelor’s degree and one year of Strength & Conditioning coaching experience ; knowledge of & commitment to NCAA rules. Required to have current SCCC certification through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association or CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Required CPR /First Aid/ AED Certification

Preferred: Master’s degree in Exercise related field. One year of experience involving the development and management of sport-specific individual and group strength training programs for a wide variety of athletes. Experience with development and management of strength training programs at the college/university level.
