The Management Trainee Program is designed to give an overview of all of the products and services that Expeditors offers and to provide the trainee with the experience needed to continue his/her career at Expeditors in any number of exciting positions within a branch from operational to supervisory roles. The program involves not only the operations of each department, but also the finance, sales, retention and particularly managerial aspects of every product and service. A candidate for this program must be self-motivated, hard working, capable of working with limited supervision, and willing to travel during the program.
Responsibilities and Duties

Participate to the Management Trainee Orientation meeting
Complete the monthly recap and presentations
Learn, understand and epitomize the Expeditors culture
Set an example of excellence in every taking
Fulfil full time employee training requirements
Complete relevant learning activities and training assigned
Attend leadership sessions Complete relevant certifications
Understand and assist with operations of each dept
Understand the management processes used within each dept
Understand and assist with the responsibilities and duties of the supervisors/managers of each dept Understand and work with the operational and financial reporting used by each dept
Assist dept managers in meeting productivity and expense to revenue goals within budget
Learn how to supervise and mentor employees
Develop interpersonal communication and management skills
Complete projects as required for selected depts
Attend all dept, sales, branch, accounting and management meetings if needed
Attend at least two product specific sales or retention calls for each dept
During your training there will be many courses and certifications you are required to complete as a Manager Trainee. You will only have to take the courses that are available in your country/region. This will be in addition to all Expeditors employee, and department training.

Min of one year as an Expeditors employee (internal hire)
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
