About the Role:

As a Security Incident Response Engineer at Solvay, your primary responsibility is to act as the main point of contact for our SOC and VOC teams, promptly addressing security incidents and vulnerabilities. You'll collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the implementation of security mitigations and manage exception requests.

You will be accountable for:

  • Responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities reported by SOC and VOC.

  • Conducting vulnerability scanning and compliance monitoring.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to implement basic security mitigations.

  • Analyzing and approving exception requests.

  • Providing leadership teams with system health KPIs.

  • Recording and addressing deviations from security standards.

We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About You:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.

  • 5-10 years of security experience with standard IT technologies.

  • Service-oriented mindset and strong leadership capabilities.

  • Understanding of end-to-end architecture from network to application.

  • Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response.

  • Analytical mindset for problem-solving under pressure.

  • Result-oriented with the ability to influence and make an impact.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Empowered and accountable, fostering teamwork and relationships.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country base pay reasonably expected for this role is 45,000€ to 65,000€(Portugal), your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills, experience and location. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
