The Bluetooth Quality team is looking for a motivated, highly-technical Bluetooth QA Engineer with an ability to seek solutions to unusual problems with valued interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the best customer experience and quality of Bluetooth in the latest Apple products.

Description

As a successful Wireless Bluetooth Quality Engineer, you will focus on testing Bluetooth enabled features in Appleʼs innovative products. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Validate features manually and with automation Drive quality and champion bug fixes, working closely with development team and analyze the root causes for the issues Collaborate with cross functional teams to get requirements Design comprehensive test plans for new features, factoring in technical details and the customer experience Triage for any discrepancies as well as monitor and drive customer issues Complete both documented and ad hoc testing to ensure high quality releases Bring up, perform regular maintenance and debugging of test setups and scripts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • 3 years of experience in defining test plans and creating test cases based on technical specifications and feature requirements.

  • 2 years of experience in validating and testing products with domain expertise in one of these areas: Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, Audio, Wireless RF protocols

  • 1 year of experience in developing testing scripts using Python, Perl or other programming languages

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills

  • Efficient time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast paced environment

  • Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers

  • Experience on Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins is a plus

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $107,100 and $222,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
