Today, Apple is carbon neutral for our corporate operations. Since achieving this goal in 2020, we've set an even more ambitious goal — to make our products carbon neutral by 2030, across our entire supply chain and the lifetime energy use of our customers’ devices. This goal is of critical importance — in Apple’s fiscal year 2022, product manufacturing was responsible for 65% of Apple’s comprehensive corporate carbon footprint. The Supplier Carbon Solutions Program will help meet Apple’s 2030 goal by transitioning suppliers to carbon neutrality for their Apple-related operations. We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to define and deliver successful, meaningful internal applications, tools and data that support Apple’s environmental programs and help us leave the world better than we found it. You will be responsible for the product strategy, roadmap, and execution to streamline, analyze, and drive decisions that help to help the Supplier Carbon Solutions team achieve their ambitious 2030 supplier carbon neutrality goals and beyond.

Description

  • Craft, set and oversee delivery of the technical Supplier Carbon Solutions vision & strategy - Build and prioritize an ambitious but iterative product roadmap that balances user/team needs with business and stakeholder priorities - Deeply understand and empathize with users’ needs and pain points - Collaborate with cross functional developers and business teams to identify, propose, and craft technical solutions that are user-friendly, scalable, and address these needs - Support tool implementation, improvements, maintenance, data quality and training - Deliver experiences that are delightful to use and support the Supplier Carbon Solutions team achieve their goal to transition Apple suppliers to carbon neutrality for their Apple-related operations - Lead internal working groups and external vendors to deliver high quality data that drives action

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Bachelors degree

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience, ensuring that program needs are met through defining and ensuring the delivery of complex internal tools and systems

  • 5+ years experience working with software product teams, in a product role

  • Able to think creatively, understand details, and also see the big picture to design a data and tools strategy that meets the needs of the Supplier Carbon Solutions team and is in line with the broader organizational goals

  • Comfort leading internal cross functional teams and external technical vendors to execute strategy, noting that internal software development resources sit outside of the Supplier Carbon Solutions team

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business processes, to craft and effectively communicate a product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and to inspire the product team to execute upon these artifacts

  • Clear and concise communicator across multiple audiences and partners; able to explain technical details in business terms and vice versa

  • Able to work closely with cross-functional technical teams, engage in thoughtful and respectful debate, and prioritize among competing needs

  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to support near term business requests as longer term tool development is in process

  • Able to independently manage multiple initiatives, effectively prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, while balancing progress towards longer term strategic goals

  • Experience performing and supervising data analysis and can lean into new AI/ML capabilities to ensure highest quality data

  • Experience with customer relationship management systems, data visualization tools and relational databases

  • Experience with environmental metrics (such as GHG reporting protocols and carbon accounting) is not required - but you must have an interest in learning about these areas and becoming deeply familiar with this domain

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $188,000 and $282,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
