Description

Our mission is to make the input experience—using Keyboard, Dictation, Apple Pencil, etc.—more inclusive and accessible for everyone, regardless of what languages they use or what background they come from. In this role, you will: - Write code for Input Methods for various languages such as Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Tamil, Vietnamese, etc. - Design and develop Keyboard Layouts for over 100 languages. - Work at the forefront of the user experience for input coupled with Apple Intelligence, including Writing Tools. - Collaborate with different teams—such as Accessibility, Hardware, Human Interface, NLP, Privacy, etc.—to solve both design and engineering challenges and ensure that the next generation of experiences can reach all Apple customers. - Contribute to the wider internationalization community both within and outside of Apple, such as the open-source CLDR project.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field

  • Programming ability in a C-like dialect (Java, C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, etc.)

  • Understanding of algorithms, data structures and coding standards

  • Familiar with unit testing, with a strong focus on high-quality software

  • Passion for language and for improving Apple’s products

  • Experience in building iOS apps using and Apple’s UI frameworks

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $116,106 and $208,300 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
