Food Pantry Assistant Job Description Family Resource Center of the Redwoods Food Bank Location: Crescent City, California Employed By: Family Resource Center of the Redwoods Reports To: Food Bank Manager/Food Bank Director Time Commitment: 20-30 hours per week Compensation: $15.50-$18.00

Essential Job Duties: The Food Pantry Assistant essential job duties include the following:

? Stock food in Pacific Pantry and mobile pantry with First In First Out procedure.

? Repack bulk foods into individual units.

? Clean, organize, and restock the food pantries at the start + end of distributions.

? Utilize the tablet to check in pantry/TEFAP/Senior Box clients and assist them to assemble

food boxes. Pay attention to detail in correctly recording household questions.

? Distribute Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) senior boxes, including verifyingidentity, and age and income eligibility. Help clients fill out applications and collectsignatures.

? Distribute Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and other state and federal foodprogram foods. Know the difference between the various food bank programs andadminister them accordingly. Attend training and community meetings as indicated.

? Assist with Mobile Distributions on Tuesdays throughout Del Norte County.

Typical Weekly Schedule: 8am-5pm Tuesdays; 1-6pm Thursdays; 11am-4pm Fridays, Every other Saturday 11-1
